Godzilla Lecture at Nerd Nite (and the 789 YouTube Gathering)

Godzilla: History, Biology and Behavior of Hyper-Evolved Theropod Kaiju

I will be presenting a 10-minute lecture on Godzilla, The King of Monsters, at Nerd Nite on Friday July 10th at Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO, Brooklyn. The other two presentations for the evening will be lectures on "Korean Pop Music" and "The Harp."

The price is $7. Tickets available in advance or at the door.

Nerd Nite is an informal gathering at which nerds get together for nerdery of all sorts (well, mostly presentations and drinking). Nerds and non-nerds alike gather to meet, drink and learn something new.

The July 10th lectures will also be preceded by Gay Speed Dating - tickets for that are limited, but include price of admission for the lectures!

PLEASE NOTE: This is an art space and BAR. You most probably have to be over 21 to attend; please call to confirm.

For more information and advanced tickets, go to http://nyc.nerdnite.com/

Dear Zombie girl,

Thanks so much for listening to my drivel and for your great questions!

Do you know if anyone in your group taped the presentation by any chance? I completely forgot to hit record on my camera. I'm quite sad about it.

Thanks again!

Cheers,

Shy

Hi,

Sorry about the recording. No cameras from me or my friends.
Speaking of losing things, did you by chance see a black cardigan in our floating pod area? I believe I left it at Nerdnite. One of my friends literally had me lifted and carried out of the place and so I think I had left it behind.

Anyways, I was troubled when thinking about your answer to my earlier question, and I DO believe that if it were Entire Population Of Human Zombies vs. Godzilla, zombies would win. I hate to say it, but you answered the question wrong. (See Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide book) The evidence is overwhelming when comparing the sheer masses of total living human corpses vs. the 'zillah. Also, zombies have unnatural persistence.

Uh, sorry for being somewhat aggressive. My zombies are a sore subject.

I have to disagree, ginn, Godzilla has nuclear fire breath, which is so much more powerful than the regular fire the rest of us get, which we all know does zombies right.

So, in conclusion, Fake Scientist: One, Zombie Girl: point five. (there are an awful lot of us...too bad we don't have nuke breath and thirty stories of height to employ it, just uncounted mega-tons of mass, spread out like a paste...)

Nice, and good points. Maybe you are right. Even if ALL of human-kind became zombies and congregated around the 'zilla, out weighing the monster, nuclear breath would totally fry their brains. (I keep forgetting about nuclear breath.)

Now if Godzilla became Zombie-Godzilla (cross-species infection is rare but indeed possible), that would be truly terrifying. Someone should make a (terrible) movie out of that.

Hmmm, Zombie-Zilla.

Ouch, thank God it will turn out half way through the movie that renegade military scientists cloned a piece of the OG (Original Godzilla) and were planning on using it against the real thing when suddenly something went horribly wrong...

Then our hero steps up and breaks the poser off like he always does. :D
